Share your travel window, not a deadline promise
Your intended arrival and departure are useful starting points for a clinic conversation. Explain whether your dates are firm and how much flexibility you have.
Do not assume that a trip of a particular length is enough for a procedure. Ask the treating professional what assessment and timing are appropriate for your situation.
Ask what the schedule depends on
- When could an initial assessment be available?
- What can only be decided after that assessment?
- Could any later appointments or checks be needed?
- Who would confirm whether the plan fits your travel window?
- What would happen if an appointment or your departure date changes?
Keep provisional plans clearly labelled until the provider confirms them. Avoid turning a possible appointment into a guaranteed travel itinerary.
Plan the practical journey
Once you know the clinic location, check the address and travel arrangements for that exact location. Ask how early to arrive and whether any preparation instructions will come directly from the clinic.
For entry requirements, verify the current rules with the relevant official authorities for your nationality and journey before you book. This guide does not assess entry eligibility or provide a visa policy summary.
Before you leave, ask about records and contact
Ask which appointment or treatment records you can receive, in what format and language, and how they will be delivered. Confirm the contact route for clinical questions after departure.
If you may need ongoing care elsewhere, ask the treating professional what information should be passed on and how follow-up should be arranged. This project does not provide clinical follow-up.
Bring the open questions into one outline
The AI reception or direct request form can help outline your travel window, interests and language preference. Keep clinical details out of it. Review before submitting; no appointment or travel reservation follows from a conversation or request.
About this guide: original preparation questions from the Shanghai Care Planning project. It does not describe a particular clinic’s policy and has not been clinically reviewed. Confirm arrangements and clinical questions directly with the relevant provider.
