ShanghaiCare Planning

Treatments

Short treatments.
Planned around your trip.

What visitors most often ask about, and what to confirm about timing. The treating clinic confirms suitability, timing and price for your case.

We research clinics after you get in touch; no clinic is booked until you agree to a written quote.

About costs

Prices you can check.

Public hospitals in Shanghai work to maximum prices set by the city’s healthcare security administration. A 2023 notice caps the medical-service fee for a standard single dental implant at ¥5,130 per tooth, excluding the implant, other materials and separately billed procedures such as extraction or bone grafting (official notice). Current rates are confirmed case by case.

Private clinics set their own prices. We look into your request and, where possible, follow up with an itemised written quote by email, showing what is and isn’t included. Nothing is booked without your go-ahead.

For comparison in England, NHS dental charges are set in bands, but implants and cosmetic work are generally only available privately (NHS dental charges).

We don’t publish savings percentages. Your own quote is the only reliable comparison.

Case by case

Bigger treatments.

Endoscopy, specialist second opinions and some eye surgery need a doctor’s assessment first and are considered case by case. We do not arrange emergency care, cancer treatment, fertility treatment or cosmetic surgery.
